Transform Your Practice: Canine AFM Level 1 (Plus: Support Animal Fascia Research!)
Unlock the Power of Animal Fascial Manipulation©
Are you ready to elevate your practice and master a cutting-edge manual therapy? Join us for the Animal Fascial Manipulation (AFM) Canine Level 1 Course and discover how to enhance mobility, alleviate pain, and boost the overall well-being of your canine clients.
Rooted in proven human principles of fascial manipulation and expertly adapted for animals, AFM is a logical, effective, and compassionate method for restoring fluid movement and reducing reliance on invasive procedures.
What is Animal Fascial Manipulation?
Animal Fascial Manipulation is a manual therapy method that focuses on the fascia, the connective tissue surrounding muscles, organs, and other structures, to improve mobility, reduce pain, and support overall well-being in animals.
By identifying and treating specific points of tension or restriction in the fascial system, this technique aims to restore proper movement patterns, enhance performance, and aid in recovery from injuries or chronic conditions.
The method is both logical and effective. The animal experiences minimal discomfort during treatment, which dissipates within minutes of treatment initiation. This type of treatment can save an animal from more invasive procedures and save its owner many thousands of dollars in efforts to identify and treat the underlying cause of the animal's issues. Animal Fascial Manipulation is not a replacement for Veterinary care but rather an additional tool for owners to help maintain their animals' health and free movement.
In this first-level course, participants will learn about the fascial system and how external and internal inputs can lead to movement dysfunction and pain in animals.
Using AFM's systematic approach, participants will gain the knowledge and skills to identify and treat fascial densifications, restoring a canine’s proper biomechanical movement and reducing or eliminating pain.
What You’ll Master
In this engaging, hands-on course, you will dive deep into the fascial system to:
Pinpoint fascial densifications with total confidence.
Understand the direct impact of fascia on canine biomechanics.
Apply targeted techniques to restore movement and ease discomfort.

Tuulia Luomala and Mika Pihlman are Finnish physiotherapists specializing in manual therapy, acupuncture, and fascial science. After Luigi Stecco tasked them with adapting his Fascial Manipulation® system for animal populations, they have spent over a decade teaching their Animal Fascial Manipulation methodology to practitioners worldwide. Their extensive research, supported by years of equine and canine dissections in collaboration with veterinarians, culminated in the publication of the Atlas of the Equine and Canine Fascia System. This seminal work provides an in-depth anatomical exploration, serving as a vital resource for veterinarians, osteopaths, and manual therapists. Today, they provide essential insights and training for animal healthcare professionals globally.
“This atlas is a masterful synthesis of anatomical rigor and practical relevance. It brings the same level of scientific attention to equine and canine fascia that human fascia has received only recently. A landmark work that will elevate veterinary bodywork and fascial therapy worldwide.”
– Dr. Robert Schleip, fascia researcher and lecturer
Ideal For: Veterinarians, Vet Techs, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Bodyworkers, and experienced Trainers.
